My name is Lorraine and I am a Body Control trained Level 3 Pilates Teacher. I practiced yoga for many years, but after the birth of my second son, I was left with poor core strength, lower back, and neck pain so I visited my Osteopath
. He was able to help with my neck pain, but recommended Pilates as a way of regaining my pre-pregnancy strength, endurance, and posture. After only a few classes I felt as though I had regained my core strength and my back pain had disappeared – the results were astounding.
As such, I decided to give up my desk job and train to be a Pilates Teacher so that I could share my passion for Pilates with everybody! I’ve been qualified for over five years and I teach using a wide array of Pilates equipment (rings, rollers, bands, weights etc.)
I am currently training with BASI Pilates to be able to teach on the reformer, Cadillac Wunda chair, and ladder barrel. I keep my classes to a maximum of twelve participants each as this enables me to assist my clients with the quality of their practice.
